House accounts allow you to keep track of charges and payments in one place, for each customer. There are multiple, flexible ways to process charges and payments towards house accounts.
Charging house accounts within Lightspeed Golf
House accounts can be charged as a payment method in Lightspeed Golf for reservation, subscriptions, and package fees.
Charging a house account for reservation fees
Customers can have their reservation fees charged to their house account by selecting one of the included customers' house accounts as the payment method. You can click Paid By to adjust which house account, select the House Account button, and click Take Payment.

Charging a house account for subscription fees
Customers can use their house account as a payment method for subscription fees. This also allows recurring subscription fees to be automatically charged to a house account according to the payment strategy.

Charging a house account for package fees
Customers can use their house account as the payment method for package fees by selecting Register as the payment method in Lightspeed Golf. Then, select the House Account custom menu button at the checkout screen in Lightspeed Retail.

Charging house accounts from Lightspeed Retail (R-Series)
House accounts can be charged from Lightspeed Retail using a House Account Charge custom menu button.
To charge house accounts from Lightspeed Retail:
- Open a sale to get to the Register.
- Attach a customer to the sale.
- Add products to the sale.
Products such as packages and reservation fees may be automatically included in the sale if processed through the Register from Lightspeed Golf.
- Select your House Account Charge custom menu button.
- Adjust the amount to charge the house account, if necessary. Clicking MAX will set the amount to include all products included in the sale.
- Click Charge to account.
- Once back at the open sale, click Payment.
- Process payments for any remaining amounts to other payment methods, if necessary.
- Click Finish Sale.
After the sale has been finalized in Lightspeed Retail, the charge will appear on the house account statement in Lightspeed Golf after refreshing the page.
Charging accounts from Lightspeed Restaurant (K-Series)
House accounts can be charged from Lightspeed Restaurant using a Lightspeed Golf House Account payment type.
- Select the order to charge to a customer's house account.
- Make any necessary adjustments to the order.
- Print the receipt with a tip line on it, and give it to the customer to sign.
- Tap Pay.
- Select your Golf House Account payment type.
- Tap Add tip, if the customer wrote a tip amount on the signed receipt.
- Tap Pay.
- Search for the customer profile to charge the order to, and tap on their name.
Processing payments
Lightspeed Golf allows you to process payments towards a house account balance to pay off an amount due, or to add a deposit.
To pay towards a house account balance:
- In Lightspeed Golf, navigate to the customer’s profile.
- Select the House Account tab.
- Open the customer's house account and click Make Payment.
- Select the appropriate Payment Method for the payment.
- Adjust the amount to process, if necessary.
- Click Confirm.
The payment processed will now appear in the Payments History below the customer's monthly statements and will reduce the amount due, or add a deposit to the balance, accordingly.
