We've added new filters to the Business Intelligence dashboards to help you better organize your data:

  • Rainchecks: You can now filter by Course for the different courses at a given club.
  • Subscriptions: You can now filter by Subscription Type. Subscriptions are also clearly labelled based on their included items: Membership, Service, Membership bundle, and Service bundle.

Updates to the preauthorization feature give you more flexibility and transparency when making preauthorization holds.

  • Change employee permissions for preauthorization holds under Settings > Employee roles.
  • Create receipt templates that include details on preauthorization holds. This offers customers more transparency around their preauthorized payments.

Set percentage-based item fees and add by tag

Item fees can be used to add an additional fee to the cost of a good or service to cover special handling, premium services, or regulatory compliance, like the California Covered Battery-Embedded (CBE) waste recycling fee.

With item fees, you can now:

  • Set percentage-based item fees.
  • Allow item fees to be discountable as well as refundable.
  • Apply item fees to individual locations.
  • Link items through tags and categories.
  • Filter the Item fees page by status or value type.

Adjust item prices on the POS

Authorized staff can now override an item's price directly on the POS during an active order. This makes it easier to handle bespoke items, special requests and last-minute pricing adjustments without leaving the POS or interrupting service.

  1. Ensure the POS app is updated to version 26.18 or higher.
  2. Enable the relevant POS user permission for price adjustment in the Back Office.
  3. During an order, tap an item, select Adjust Price, and enter the new price.

Customize your KDS view with new ticket size scaling controls. Adjust ticket sizes up or down directly from Quick Settings to fit more orders on screen, giving kitchen teams a clearer overview of prep queues and improving visibility during busy services.

  1. Ensure the KDS app is updated to version 1.51.0 or higher.
  2. Open the Quick Settings menu on the KDS screen.
  3. Use the zoom controls to scale ticket sizes up or down to preference.
  4. Repeat per device as needed.

Schedule checklists your way

Lightspeed Tasks now supports advanced scheduling options, making it easier to manage operational checklists over longer time periods. Create recurring tasks on a bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, or yearly basis, add optional end dates, and preview upcoming due dates before saving to keep operations running smoothly.

  1. In the Back Office, go to Task Management > Checklists.
  2. Create a new checklist or edit an existing one.
  3. Navigate to the Schedule section and set a start date, recurrence and optional end date.
  4. Review the real-time preview of the next due time, then save.

Stay on top of operational compliance with new daily and weekly Tasks summary emails. Delivered automatically to your inbox, these reports provide checklist completion rates by location, helping managers monitor performance and identify gaps without logging in to the Back Office.

  1. Log in to your Back Office.
  2. Navigate to Task Management > Settings > Notifications.
  3. Locate the Daily or Weekly summary email card.
  4. Select a location, choose recipients from the user list and toggle on.
  5. Repeat this process for each location and email type as needed. Remember to check that all intended recipients have an email address on their profile.
