Processing offline payments through Lightspeed Retail (R-Series)

You can process payments through Lightspeed Retail (R-Series) if you are without a working internet connection to your pro shop computers and payment terminals.

Enabling offline mode in Lightspeed Retail

Offline mode must be enabled for your payment terminal(s) before internet connection issues arise. Ensure you have read and followed the steps to confirm that offline mode is available and that you have enabled it for your payment terminal(s).

Using Lightspeed Golf offline

Lightspeed Golf relies on a stable internet connection to function. It is recommended to look into secondary sources of an internet connection for your proshop computers if they are without internet access. This may include connecting your proshop computers to a smartphone's mobile hotspot, or secondary wifi network. 

It is best to make manual notes of reservation payments that are processed through terminals in offline mode if you are not able to get a working internet connection to your proshop computers. 

Once you regain internet connectivity you will need to record the transactions that were processed offline, in Lightspeed Retail. It is recommended to finalize these sales with an Offline mode payment type. Reservations on the tee sheet should also be marked as paid and arrived accordingly.
